  1. Nice images! :) I'm collecting high-quality stills like this myself -- maybe if I get the time later, I'll do a post with some of my own favorites. :)

One thing though: I believe image number 2 with Penny is actually not an official promo still, but rather a screenshot from Netflix US (likely just made with Print Screen). Its original source seems to be this blog post: animefeet.blogspot.com/2015/04/penny-from-inspector-gadget-2015.html Scroll down a bit and you'll find it. You can notice too that this pic is not quite as sharp as the 5 others, which definitely ARE official stills.

On the Internet you can find very little new material, in the form of different images , and not always mismas.¡Pues if you have some more images , other than these , I would love to see them !, I too am collecting them . I hope soon , upload a new image I have . By the way , Mesterius . What do you think about that has not yet produced merchandising of the series ?. I would like to know your opinion. Thank you very much!.

    2. Well, I'm not as attached to the new series as I am to the original, and probably never will be. In my book, the 1983 series continues to be number one. :) Plus, I am not a big toy collector. So speaking only for myself, I don't feel a big need to buy toys and other merchandise based on the reboot series.

That said, merchandise might help increase interest in both the new series and the franchise as a whole, so perhaps it would be a good idea. I wouldn't be surpriced if young children who watch and enjoy the new series would like to own plush dolls and other toys from it. But personally, I would really love to see an "Inspector Gadget Classic" line of merchandise, based directly on the original series. For example, how about some actual collector's figurines of Gadget, Penny, Brain, Dr Claw and Chief Quimby -- lovingly rendered exactly like they look in one of the best-animated 1983 episodes? I mean, the original series is more than 30 years old by this point. I'd think that's a high enough age to acknowledge that the Inspector Gadget franchise also has its share of adult fans, and make something that appeals to them. (Plus, with a few notable exceptions, almost all the merchandise produced back in the 80s when the series debuted looks like crap. Original-series merchandise which actually looks GOOD is pretty much an untapped market.)

Maybe ideally, two lines of merchandise could co-exist: One for children, based on the reboot series; and one for adults, based on the original series. But it's hard to tell what will happen. It's my impression that Inspector Gadget has never been the biggest seller of merchandise anyway (compared with, say, Teletubbies, another franchise now owned by DHX), so it would probably need a little time to build up. I do think stuff for both kids and adult collectors could have its sales potential, though.

    3. Totally agree with you Mesterius. I believe that the new series, has been sold very well by the majority of countries, and has arrived much faster than I expected, which is a good sign. But without a doubt, I believe that carrying out a series of series products help increase its popularity and enhance it again. I was perplexed when I saw Teletubbies which at that time was already in production, had been chosen to promote new products yet to be on television. I think that the Facebook of the series should be much more activity and publish news and original materials. It is true, that for me the original series is without a doubt a genius, hard to beat, but for me this has been the best series adapted restart, faithful to the characters (with some changes "Gang" :() but true.) Series like Heidi and Vicky the Viking, have also had their acceptance, and that Vicky in terms of sales with respect to inspector Gadget is positioned at the same height, although it is true that the series is 2013, I think and merchandising has not reached until 2015 and the end of 2014. I think that it is too early. But as you say, I think that removing a line of ring ones original inspector Gadget would be a pass. For me, the only products that are worth are the Galoob and Júniors Godoy (figures from Greece of a fast food restaurant that occurred in 2003). That would be fantastic.

Although I think, that all series produced by DIC, that only one of them (not to say the most successful for me), has had the opportunity to come back in a new series of reboot, would that not a few toys?. Long ago, I saw that dhx had published an image with some merchandising from the original series, such as t-shirts or even a flashlight, so, perhaps, worth being able to produce those figures (of good quality, please) in the future that so many want to some of the original series. In any case, to my Inspector Gadget, has been a series of Dic, to more merchandising produced, not only in his time, if not 30 years. Thanks for your comment, I like to talk to you.

    4. I agree, obviously, when it comes to Junior Goody. The only two figurines I own of Gadget are from the 2003 Junior Goody's line: the one with an extendable neck and the one with the Gadget copter. Both of these look great. I also have the Junior Goody figure of Brain, which (despite the color mistakes) looks simply beautiful. (I'm considering getting the Penny figure as well, even though I think it's not modeled quite as nicely as Brain and Gadget.)

The Galoob doll too looks great -- and in addition, let's not forget the awesome transformable cars that Bandai produced for both Gadget and Dr Claw back in 1983. These vehicles look EXACTLY like they do in the TV series and can even change into their various modes... amazing.

      Gadget: http://www.lulu-berlu.com/upload/image/inspector-gadget---bandai---gadget-s-police-car---the-gadgetmobile-image-245155-grande.jpg

Honestly, considering the insane prices the 1983 editions of these two cars sell for on Ebay; I think it could actually be profitable for a modern-day company to release NEW EDITIONS of these toys, specifically aimed at the collectors' market. Faithfully reproduced the way they were made in 1983, but much more affordable than buying an original. I'd buy 'em.

Yeah, Dr Claw was one of my biggest annoyances with the new series when I started watching it. He is simply a completely different character, arguably even more ridiculous than in Gadgetinis. I have gradually gotten used to it - and at times I even find this parody version of Claw funny, depending on how good the scriptwriting is - but I have to say, this isn't really "my" Dr Claw. I miss the supervillain from Season 1 of the original TV series.

"Although I think, that all series produced by DIC, that only one of them (not to say the most successful for me), has had the opportunity to come back in a new series of reboot, would that not a few toys?"
Well, Inspector Gadget is actually not QUITE the only DiC series to make a comeback in recent years. Have you heard about "The Mysterious Cities of Gold", the famous adventure series that DiC produced in 1982, right before Inspector Gadget? This series is especially huge in France, and it actually also returned with a new production a few years back; which was actually far MORE faithful to the original than the new Gadget series. It was simply a new SEASON, which continues directly from the last episode of the original series. Season 2 seems to have become a success and Seson 3 is in production now from what I can tell. So there are exceptions.

    5. Glad to know Mesterius of your comments. Ah !, because if you want to make with it, go ahead !. Sophie figure, for me personally is very well modeled and painted in the same style as that of Gadget and Sultan, so stay very nice. (If you want I can pass your photos to the can view much better). The only mistake is in that figure, is that the eyes, as usual have been painted blue and shoes there is an error of colors (which you have to look very well and be very fan of the series to notice;) but otherwise great. Eyes and pants are fine. I would say that this line ade toys (and although it is a chain of fast food) are great and look much better than those produced tiger in 1992, ohh they are horrible.

As for what to Dr.Gang ... I can say. I think like you, although I must admit that the new turn have given the character and I think I like fun. It does not bother me, because having the backing of Talon now to Gang, we see it from another perspective. But to choose, I always stay with the original characters. Oh, I will not know who had made a new series !.

First news, thanks for the information. I know very well the series, and I have followed either, here in Spain, has issued fewer times than Inspector Gadget (which is back on many occasions over the years). Oh, yes, I adore these vehicles, especially the Gang, which for my taste is much better than the Gadgetmobile. In my collection, I have only 2 figures of Bandai and Galoob 1983 with all accessories (a used but like new, and one in the box and completely new that buy it from a seller in Spain for 25 euros), even I do not understand as the seller did not know the value that had the figure, but even still new. I was very lucky. You can take a look at my posts where I review the figure and the box.

I think that a line of the original series, would sell very well, but perhaps a little more difficult in terms of interest from brands. Thank you for your comment Mesterius, a pleasure to talk to you

Hopefully someday come to edit, above all, the complete original series remastered, and we can enjoy a good quality image. If you look at the head of my blog, the images that appear characters, I vectorized, and look much better than the original. Imagine what they could do professional industries editing dvd!
